Home, care home, small shop
Keeping food hot in a power outage
When the power goes, hot food has a clock on it. Two ways to hold the line without combustion.

Food that is already cooked can be held hot safely for a limited time. In an outage the usual tools, the oven, the warmer, the bain-marie, are dead, and the fallback is often a can of burning alcohol in a closed kitchen.
Water-activated packs
Pour water, steam within a minute, about 45 minutes of hold per pack. No flame, no carbon monoxide, no ventilation needed.
Charged cells
A cell kept charged holds 80 °C for three hours. In a care home or a small food shop, a set of charged cells is a hot-holding plan that does not depend on the grid.
The limit
Neither reheats. They hold what is already hot. Plan the outage kit around that.
