Medical supplies in the field: what −10 °C is for, and what it is not
A cell at −10 °C keeps frozen supplies frozen. Put it next to a vaccine that must stay between 2 and 8 °C and you have destroyed the vaccine. Here is the honest scope.

Cold chain has two regimes. Frozen: product must stay below zero. Refrigerated: product must stay between roughly 2 and 8 °C and must not freeze. Most vaccines, insulin and biologics are the second kind, and freezing ruins them.
What a C1 Pro is
A cell that holds −10 °C for eight hours. It is a frozen-regime tool: frozen samples, frozen reagents, frozen breast milk, frozen product in transit.
What it must not be used for
Direct contact with anything in the refrigerated regime. A cell at −10 °C beside an insulin pen is a spoiled pen.
The development path
A buffered kit, in which the cell cools an insulated compartment through a controlled barrier to hold 2 to 8 °C, is a design problem we are working on. Until it is tested and documented, we will not market cold chain for refrigerated medicines, and neither should anyone else.
